Silicone Tooling

Silicone Tooling is very different from thermoplastic injection tooling.  At GW Silicones, we are experienced in designing, building and running silicone tooling.  We understand the complexities of liquid silicone molding and work to help you get your design to market in as little time as possible.  GW Silicones has developed a tooling standard that allows us to use common mold bases which greatly reduce the tool cost to our customers.  This system also allows us to use high quality cavity inserts which helps guarantee tooling for many years of production.

It's all in the details:

Liquid silicone allows for the reproduction of very fine mold details.  This is particularly helpful when tight tolerances are required.  Additionally, with silicone molding it is possible to produce parts with under cuts without the need for special tooling like that which is required when injection molding thermoplastics.  We are also able to provide a variety of surface finishes, different levels of polished surfaces, light texturing and much more.
